Walking in with a question
You may have arrived here the way so many of us arrive at a library, carrying a question that is still looking for its words and a quiet sense that somewhere in these rooms a page is waiting with your name on it. For me that sense has been the whole journey. At twenty I was looking for ground, “looking for real substance and real soil, like real soul,” and what I found along the way, through ten years of talks, courses, journeys and written sharings, now rests in one place, which I call the Temple of Sophia. It is a place some would call a Mystery School, and the mysteries kept here are the ones Life opens for anyone willing to question the function of what they meet, because “everything alive is performing a function with purpose, and you can question the function, and if you’re willing, life will allow you to discover the mysteries, and they are beautiful.”
The Temple is being built twice over, in writing here and on our land in Bali, where six carved pillars will stand in a circle around a seventh at the back, an extra-thick pillar sunk low into the earth and out of sight, bearing the whole weight of the roof. That hidden pillar is Sophia. The word Sophia means wisdom, and Her living wisdom has held this work all along, together with my Spirit Cronemothers of Waitaha and the Spirit of Anuw in Vanuatu, so that everything shelved in this library stands on what She carried long before I had words for it.
Seven pillars, named as you walk past them
The Seven Pillars are where I now place all my former sharings, each one holding the writings that grew from one movement of the work. The School of Syntropy holds the study of nature as the study of what Life is doing, in soil, in language and in a human being. Human Ecology & Sovereignty carries that same study into the ground between us, the field of relating, where feeling-based navigation gets clouded by programming and gets found again. Sovereignty & Freedom holds the writings on Freedom itself, free-dom read as “the domain of the free, which is your domain,” and on what it asks of us to live there. Healing & the Return to Wholeness holds the inner work, meeting the parts of Self that got split off along the way and walking each one home. Sacred Birth & Conscious Parenting holds pregnancy, birth and the earliest days of a youngling’s life, the first ground where a Will of the Soul is honoured, and it holds the one finished book of this Temple, All the Way Whole, free to download and pass on. Return of Sophia holds Her own sharings, wisdom speaking straight through the cells in Her own hand. And the Wananga of Love holds what the grandmothers gave me, since “I’ve been really raised by Indigenous grandmothers personally in their mind song, in their hearts and in their dreaming,” carried forward as a living transmission.
So walk the pillars the way you would walk the shelves, slowly, and let your cells do the choosing. Which pillar name warmed something in you as you read it? Which one brought the feeling you walked in with a little closer to a word? Which one do you feel willing to open first? I hope this library provides you with what your cells know is most relevant now.
School of Syntropy
Life understood again through its own function and connection, in nature and in the body, questioned with curiosity.
Human Ecology & Sovereignty
Reclaiming the Will and Freedom that patriarchal and cult programming once clouded, restoring feeling-based navigation as the body’s rightful compass.
Sovereignty & Freedom
Feeling-based relating and the journey toward Freedom, held as one arc: how we relate to others reflects how we’ve reclaimed our own Will.
Healing & the Return to Wholeness
Meeting the parts of Self that trauma and conditioning once split off, returning the nervous system to its own feeling-based intelligence.
Sacred Birth & Conscious Parenting
Pregnancy, birth, and the earliest days of raising a child, held as the first ground where a person’s Will of the Soul is honoured or interrupted.
Return of Sophia
Wisdom speaking directly through the cells, free and whole: the same Sophia in me, in you, in every living thing.
Wananga of Love
Indigenous wisdom and grandmother teachings, carried forward as a living transmission, alive in whoever receives it.
Still being built, in writing and on the land
This Temple grows one sharing at a time, with the land in Bali rising beside the writing. The Centre for Syntropy Substack carries a Founder tier for anyone who feels willing to help build it directly, and when a pillar opens something in you that wants more than reading, the work itself is a conversation away. The page with your name on it is in here somewhere, your cells know which shelf, and when you reach for it you can meet it the way I learned to: “I’m willing to go into this and discover what this is here, right here, right now.”
