Walk With Me
Into the internal landscape, where I guide and you heal.
Something in you is calling
You may know the moment when a reaction arrives that is bigger than what just happened. Somebody speaks a little sharply, or a message sits unanswered for a day, and the body answers with a heat or a sinking that belongs to something far older than this afternoon, and afterwards comes the thought, where did that come from, I thought I was past this. For me that question became the doorway into everything I now do with people, because through the study of Syntropy I came to see that everything alive is performing a function with purpose, and you can question the function, and if you’re willing, Life will allow you to discover the mysteries, and they are beautiful. A reaction that keeps returning is performing one of the most faithful functions of all.
In an agroforest the farmer learns to read what the soil is saying, because the root and the origin of a disease doesn’t sit in the leaves, it sits in the soil, and the yellowing leaf is the plant telling you what life down there is missing. We carry that subsoil in our own being, and I say it the way I learned it on the land, that trauma is like locked up nutrients in the soil, they’re locked up, they’re not free. The reactions, and the thoughts that come back at night, and the same kind of person arriving in your life again and again, are the leaves showing where something underneath still benefits being freed up, and the way I have found to free it is soft, the way nature does it, with light and time and a willingness to go down and look.
I came to this from the inside. For years I didn’t know that I had feelings, and I ran markets and a food network and one project after another at a pace that kept everything in the subsoil exactly where it was, until December 2016, sitting outside in the rain in Bali, worn down and asking for clarity, when the whole of it opened. What I found down there, and what I keep finding in sessions, is that a part of self splits off in the moment an imprint happens, and anything that isn’t of love imprints, and from then on that part keeps the only story it ever got. This is the part of self that didn’t get love. This is the part of self that wasn’t seen. This was the part of self that when it reached out, no one was there. And it keeps recreating the circumstances where that story can play out, because this is how it says come find me, I’m stuck here and I’m still six years old. It has a name and a sound of its own, and the function of memory is to remember those dismembered aspects of self.
So the work, as I walk it with people, is a navigation into the internal landscape to go and find who is calling. I go there with you, into the subconscious mind, and we do the retrieval together, and I say it plainly, since it is the whole shape of the thing, I guide and you heal. We go in through the heart, we ask the part its story and what it still wants to share, we ask whether it feels willing to accept that what happened happened, and we welcome a no as the most honest answer it can give, because a no means there’s a deeper story that really still wants to be expressed. Then the part gets to script what it always wanted to hear, the cells store it the way the Self wants it remembered, and it comes home. You are the one who knows the way, what I carry is the roadmap and the legend, and I have trained in this master navigation to find the ones left behind.
I can’t cultivate anything in you or even for you. I can cultivate a garden outside, but I can’t restore your sovereignty, and I say that as the most freeing thing I know, because you can’t reclaim something that is already yours, all that happened is you got dislodged out of it. The unresolved will remain unresolved until it’s properly resolved, and resolving it is something the cells have been wired for all along, waiting on one thing, which is your yes.
Two doors into the same landscape
Two offerings carry that work, and both lead into the subconscious mind, where we navigate consciously and your awareness stays present for all of it. The Syntropic Embodiment Journey is the core, a one-on-one process of eight to twelve weeks, walked as a two or three month package of private guided sessions, a video support library, self-led journeys with journaling, and letters between sessions whenever something moves in the week. It opens with a conversation, freely given, where you tell me where you’re at and we feel together whether this is the walk for you, and whatever you give for the Journey we settle between us in that same conversation.
Dream Interpretation opens the other door, and many people walk through it first. Your cells speak in the language of images and a dream carries their message, so when you send me one I interpret what your cells are saying, in writing, as an audio recording or live together in session, and in my experience nine times out of ten the figures in a dream are parts of yourself playing out the storyline. A dream is the smallest first yes I know, and I have a tendency to never brush over green, because there’s going to be something there.
Many walk in through the five imprints, where a reaction becomes a doorway and the imprint underneath it gets its name, and some of the men who find me are about to become fathers, standing right where, as I have come to see it, the formative imprints land with the most weight, so for them I wrote For Men Expecting.
Where we begin
Before any of that there is one question, and I ask it here the way I ask it in the room. Do you feel willing to go down and look? Do you feel willing to hear what the part has to say, even when it curses at you first? Do you feel willing to accept that what happened happened?
Do you feel willing to come into awareness of what is still there?
If something in you answers yes, even a small yes, that is your will speaking, and the cells follow it, willing and curious, willing and curious, willing and curious. If something answers no, that is beautiful too, and worth listening to. Hey friend, I feel that I really benefit some support. Saying it out loud, even quietly to yourself, is where a walk beside me begins. So tell me a little about where you’re at, or send me a dream while it is still close, and I’ll read every word myself, so that the part that has been calling gets found, so that it can come home, and so that the people around you get to meet more of who you are. Something in you is calling, and it knows your name. Walk with me.
